Tran Tran
Personal project created for the exhibition Telefoni di Stato desidera, at spazio Drin in Bolzano, in collaboration with Alessandro Caminiti.
Tran Tran is a book about the daily routine of an ex-state telephone operator.
The book is a facsimile of a telephone directory made up of letters and typefaces which, based on their arrangement, create images.
Each image is a scene that tells a fragment of the receptionist’s working day.
The repetitiveness of her gestures marks the rhythm of the days, and in her memory the emotions and important moments remain firmly in place, while the rest of the memories vanish behind the habit.
